How Do I Know If My Son Has Good Pitching Mechanics?
The best way to assess your pitcher’s mechanics is to get side view and back view videotape of the athlete. Many studies have been done on baseball pitching mechanics and hundreds of mechanical variables have been explored, but trying to correct too many points at once creates too much confusion in the athlete. Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine and Orthopedics Center for Sport and Motion Analysis suggests three basic points to assess as you watch videotape of a pitcher.
Oregon State's Rasmussen plans to overcome injury

Left-hander Christian Friedrich is headed to Dallas for an elbow scope, putting an end to a lost season. Dr. Keith Meister will perform the procedure after Friedrich was unable to extend through his slider in his latest attempt to push through season-long discomfort.
Chi Chi Gonzalez to have Tommy John surgery after setback
Team physician Dr. Keith Meister will perform the surgery next week, Daniels said. The procedure typically requires pitchers to miss 14 months, which means Gonzalez wouldn’t return to action until September 2018.

Walker will have the surgery next Wednesday near his Arlington, Texas, home. It will be performed by Keith Meister, the head physician of the Texas Rangers.
