Jesse L. Even, M.D. specializes in surgery of all degenerative, traumatic, sports-related and oncologic disorders of the spine. He has special interest in conditions that affect the cervical spine and sports-related spine injury. Dr. Even is a proficient researcher and contributes to numerous publications in the field of spine surgery. He was recently inducted into the Cervical Spine Research Society in December to 2016, which is the world’s most prestigious spine societies.

He has been awarded speaking opportunities and research awards at national spine meetings, including the Cervical Spine Research Society, North American Spine Society, Lumbar Spine Research Society and American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. He has published manuscripts in every major orthopedic and spine journal including: Spine; The Spine Journal; Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery; Bone; Journal of the Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons; and the Journal of Orthopedic Trauma. Dr. Even has also written several chapters for world-renowned spine texts including chapters on cervical disc replacement, cervical spine injury in athletes, axial neck pain, and transpedicular fixation in the lumbar spine. All this research experience allows him to use evidence-based medicine that has proven efficacy in clinical trials and when appropriate, he employs minimally invasive and microscopic spine surgery techniques.
