A’s will have close eye on Jesus Luzardo’s start for Nashville on Monday

20, is zipping through the A’s organization, and Monday, the left-hander’s debut with Triple-A Nashville will be closely watched.

“From a controlling-your-emotions, physical part, it’s there,” A’s minor-league pitching instructor Gil Patterson said of Luzardo’s readiness to move up. “You tell him to not try to overthrow and not do too much. Remember, his development from (Class A) Stockton to (Double-A) Midland, it wasn’t all roses, he had to find a way, but as you develop, you want to be tested and keep getting better.”
