Biography

Justin Caplinger is a native Texan and an experienced orthopedic Physician Assistant who provides care for patients with a wide range of musculoskeletal injuries and orthopedic conditions. At TMI Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery, he works closely with the physicians to help evaluate injuries, develop treatment plans, and guide patients through recovery.

Before beginning his career as a Physician Assistant, Justin gained valuable experience as an athletic trainer working with both collegiate and professional sports programs, including Southern Methodist University, Baylor University, and FC Dallas Soccer Club. This background in sports medicine gives him a unique perspective in treating athletic injuries and helping patients safely return to activity.

Justin earned his Bachelor’s degree from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, and later completed his Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 2012.

He joined TMI Sports Medicine in 2013 as a Physician Assistant to Dr. Shane Seroyer, where he focused on both surgical and non-surgical treatments related to adult reconstruction and joint replacement. In 2020, Justin transitioned into a clinic-focused role and expanded his work as a Physician Assistant for Dr. Jesse Even, helping care for patients with a wide range of spine-related conditions.

With more than a decade of experience in orthopedic surgery settings, Justin has extensive experience assisting with both clinical and surgical care and focuses strongly on non-surgical treatment options and patient-centered recovery planning.

Outside of medicine, Justin enjoys participating in competitive shooting sports and spending time with his wife, daughter, and their puppy, Lulu.
