Hear What Other Patients Have to Say

  • I appreciate the excellent care I have received at TMI Sports Medicine in Arlington. Dr. Brigham Au performed emergency surgery after I broke my right femur in a fall. He followed my progress through rehab and after I got home. Six months later I had Lumbar Laminectomy/Fusion surgery with Dr. Jesse Even. Both of these skilled surgeons have excellent communication skills, and they and their Physician Assistants are caring toward their patients.

  • Anyone who has a broken bone stop right here and read the whole post. I rolled my ankle 7 weeks ago on Saturday eve at a restaurant. Woke up on Sunday with excruciating pain. Grabbed my stored crutches and went to the Urgent Care on north Collins. The doctor took an xray and freaked me out. "You broke your ankle and you need surgery immediately!" Why was I freaked out? Cause I take blood thinners. I researched all the orthos in my town, reached out to my PCP on Monday, told her about the situation, and asked her for a referral for Dr. Brigham K Au ASAP. Two days later I met with him and he is the BEST!! Why did I pick Dr. Au and this practice? I picked TMI Sports Medicine because they take care of the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Stars and picked Dr. Au because he apparently is a truth teller. I provided the xray and the first thing he told me was "You don't need a surgery. You have a self healing injury. Your fibula only moved 10% so start PT immediately. " So I immediately scheduled tons of sessions. I was floored. Even made a joke about how he prefers to perform surgery! He could've just taken my money (many people in the health care industry take your money). I met with him last Wednesday and he gave me great news. My ankle is 50% healed on schedule, it's down to 5% moved, and I don't need the walking boot anymore. We'll meet again in 6 weeks and hopefully when TMI gives me the 3rd xray Dr. Au will tell me my ankle is fully healed. And the PT team at TMI is incredible! Landon and Malena are are BEST. I followed their instructions, took care of my homework etc, and for the first time in 7 weeks I can exercise my lower body. Oh and the staff up front is kind and helpful as well. They helped me schedule follow up appointments and the PT sessions. I am so grateful to Landon, Malena, the front desk staff, and Dr. Au for everything. In conclusion, in my opinion you have to go to TMI to get a great team and the best surgeon in Arlington to repair your broken bones. Thanks for reading and good luck to everyone who has a broken bone!

  • I tripped over a gas hose in January 2020.I dislocated my right ankle and unfortunately broke it in 3 places. Dr Au did my surgery and I followed the directions he gave me for therapy. Today I can walk on the bike trail for 2 to 3 miles at a time, take care of my grandchildren, and work in the yard. I am extremely happy with the results.
