Dr. Keith Meister, MD, is a nationally recognized, board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, with a distinguished reputation in the fields of elbow reconstruction and the care of overhead and throwing athletes. Based in Arlington, Texas, Dr. Meister is the founder of TMI Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery, a leading center for orthopedic care, athletic performance, and the treatment of complex sports injuries.
He has proudly held the title of Head Team Physician for the Texas Rangers Baseball Club (MLB) for over 20 years and currently remains the Team Physician and & Orthopedic Consultant. His specialized expertise and innovative treatment approaches continue to make him a trusted resource for professional athletes and sports organizations nationwide.
Dr. Meister’s clinical focus includes arthroscopy and reconstruction of the shoulder, elbow, and knee, as well as the comprehensive treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal sports injuries. Dr. Meister’s educational background includes completion of the prestigious combined BA/MD program at Boston University, followed by his orthopedic surgery residency at Boston University Medical Center. He has further honed his expertise through advanced fellowships in sports medicine, hand surgery, and knee surgery at leading institutions such as the University of Virginia, Alabama Sports Medicine Institute, and the Royal National Orthopedic Hospital in England.
He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons and holds medical licenses in both Texas and Arizona. His commitment to advancing the field of sports medicine through education, innovation, and patient care continues to shape the next generation of orthopedic treatment.
