About Tom Kirsch


Biography

Tom Kirsch, PT, has more than 30 years of experience in sports medicine and orthopedic rehabilitation. He earned his master’s degree in Sports Science and Sports Medicine from the University of Frankfurt in Germany. Early in his career, he worked at a renowned sports medicine and rehabilitation facility outside Frankfurt, where he served as a member of the sports medicine staff for the Frankfurt Galaxy of NFL Europe. He was also appointed as a physiotrainer for the German Amateur Golf Association.

After moving to the United States in 2000, Tom earned his Physical Therapy degree from East Carolina University, where he also conducted research in the Human Movement Biomechanics Laboratory.

Tom’s clinical practice focuses on the evaluation and treatment of sports-related and orthopedic injuries, as well as post-surgical rehabilitation. His primary areas of interest include rehabilitation following ACL reconstruction, treatment of hip and hamstring conditions, and biomechanical assessment for running and sprinting.

His professional certifications include NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist and Corrective Exercise Specialist, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization, Myofascial Decompression, and Dry Needling. He is also a Titleist Performance Institute Certified Golf Fitness Instructor.

In addition to his work at TMI, Tom served for several years on the sports medicine staff of the Dallas Wings of the WNBA. He is currently a member of the USA Track & Field Sports Medicine Team and has participated in multiple national and international team assignments.

Outside of the clinic, Tom enjoys traveling with his family, hiking, spending time outdoors, and visiting the shooting range.
