Biography
Kevin Nelson is an experienced orthopedic Physician Assistant with more than 20 years of clinical experience in the diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries. At TMI Sports Medicine & Orthopedic Surgery, he works closely with the orthopedic surgeons to provide comprehensive care for patients experiencing sports injuries, joint pain, and other orthopedic conditions.
Before joining TMI Sports Medicine, Kevin worked with the team physicians for both the Green Bay Packers (NFL) and the Chicago White Sox (MLB), gaining extensive experience in the evaluation and treatment of athletic injuries at the professional level. He has also provided medical coverage for multiple sports teams and athletic programs, including the Green Bay Bullfrogs (Northwoods League baseball), Green Bay Gamblers (USHL junior hockey), competitive gymnastics programs, and numerous high school athletic teams.
Kevin’s clinical practice focuses on the treatment of a wide range of orthopedic and occupational injuries affecting the joints and musculoskeletal system. His clinical interests include ultrasound-guided injections, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy, viscosupplementation injections, and other biologic treatments designed to help reduce pain and improve joint function.
He completed his Physician Assistant training at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, where he developed a strong foundation in orthopedic medicine and sports injury care.
Kevin works closely with the physicians at TMI Sports Medicine to help patients receive timely evaluations, effective treatment plans, and personalized care designed to restore mobility and help patients return safely to their daily activities and athletic pursuits.
