About Daniel Evans
Director of Rehabilitation
Biography
Daniel Evans is the Director of Rehabilitation at TMI Sports Medicine, where he leads a multidisciplinary team providing orthopedic and rehabilitative care for professional, collegiate, and recreational athletes. With a clinical focus in baseball rehabilitation, Daniel works extensively with overhead athletes and serves as a rehabilitation consultant for the Texas Rangers. He also collaborates with other Major League Baseball organizations and professional athletes on injury recovery and return-to-play performance.
As Director of Rehabilitation, Daniel oversees the rehabilitation department and staff of licensed medical professionals and support personnel, managing day-to-day operations across rehabilitation services, sports performance, patient experience, and staffing logistics. His leadership focuses on guiding the department, supporting his team, and ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest standard of evidence-based care for every patient.
Daniel earned his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science from Southeastern Louisiana University and his Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University. He is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS).
In addition to his clinical work, Daniel has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications in sports medicine and baseball performance, with research focused on topics including ulnar collateral ligament reconstruction, pitching biomechanics, lumbopelvic control, and return-to-sport outcomes. He is also a frequent lecturer on baseball medicine and rehabilitation, presenting nationally and internationally to athletic trainers, physical therapists, and baseball medical staff.
Outside of work, Daniel enjoys spending time with his wife, Jamie, and their three boys, Luke, Joshua, and Adam. As a family, they love to hike, travel, hunt, fish, play music, and laugh together.
