Comments: Our son is a pitcher, and he tore his UCL in February of his freshman year of college. It took a little while to determine his diagnosis and to find the doctor who would work best for us, but once we contacted TMI Sports Medicine, Tanner was able to get an appointment, plan of action, and have surgery within 2 weeks. As a parent, insurance was also important to us, and even though we were from out of state, TMI got it all handled and approved even faster than the doctor we saw in our home state!!!
We chose Dr. Hendawi because he offers more than just the traditional Tommy John surgery with the hybrid version which we believed would provide the best long term strength for his return to the mound. From start to finish, Dr. Hendawi, Haley (his PA), and Zach (TMI’s PT) took amazing care for our son. He was released yesterday to start his pitching return, and he is already throwing within 3-4 mph of his original velocity. He doesn’t have any pain. We would chose Dr. Hendawi and the team at TMI Sports Medicine again if we had any other issues for anyone in our family!!!!
